The communication was a bit difficult as the staff did not speak English, although they were still pleasant and helpful. there was some trouble with the hot water pressure in the private bathroom, making it challenging to take a shower.

The staff at this hostel were extremely kind and considerate. They went out of their way to accommodate my late arrival and even provided a shuttle service from the airport. The room I stayed in had a beautiful tree motif and was clean and comfortable. The best part was the affordability of this hostel, making it a great option for budget travelers.
There were a few downsides to my stay. The noise level at this hostel was quite high, with road and train noise disrupting my sleep.

The location of the hotel was very convenient, being close to the city center. I also appreciated the inclusion of breakfast and the 10% discount at the attached restaurant for other meals.
The hygiene of the rooms was lacking, with reports of dirt, hairs, and bugs in some rooms. the lack of hot water in the showers was also a disappointment.

Lovely hostel with convenient location, complimentary soup, and helpful staff. Centrally located with walking distance to museums, shopping, and parks. Parking lot right next door. Staff went above and beyond to help with a flat tire issue.
Everything is what I need and want.

I recently stayed at Hostel Shakti for a few nights while exploring the city. The staff, who also run the restaurant below, were incredibly welcoming and friendly. The hostel itself is meticulously clean, and my double room was comfortable with a nice bed. The location is great, within walking distance of the bus station and the town center. I loved that they offered free tea, coffee, and soup in the evenings, and the free breakfast in the restaurant was fantastic. a wonderful stay!
I do recommend this hotel.

I had a decent stay at a hostel in San Jose. the location was very close to tourist attractions, making it convenient for sightseeing. the breakfast provided was satisfactory, with a good variety to choose from. the staff was helpful and accommodating, assisting with taxi arrangements and tour bookings. the beds were comfortable and the hostel was kept clean. the WiFi worked well, allowing me to stay connected. the common kitchen had a nice touch with a bowl of fresh soup available in the evenings.
The noise from the road and trains at night disturbed my sleep. the curtains in the room were not effective in blocking out the street lights, further hindering my rest.

The staff at the hotel were really friendly and welcoming. They made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. the neighborhood where the hotel is located was also great. It had a lively atmosphere and there were plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Another advantage we enjoyed was the delicious soup and breakfast that the staff prepared for us. It was a nice gesture and added to the overall positive experience.
One thing that bothered us was the lack of communication with the staff due to the language barrier. It would have been helpful if they had a better understanding of English.
